Differences between pyWake-Fuga and Fuga 2.9
When comparing the output of PyWake Fuga with the LinearSum method with Fuga 2.9, we see a big discrepancy due to speed-up effects, and changing the overlap method to SquareSum suddenly yields a much better agreement. Alternatively, we want to make sure that the wake superposition class LinearSum is well implemented, as the sum of negative deficits (in m/s) can easily lead to wind speed-ups, in this expression (in wake_model.py):
class LinearSum():
def calc_effective_WS(self, WS_lk, deficit_jlk):
return WS_lk - np.sum(deficit_jlk, 0)
