Mowflot TX.X Long Term Goals
Goals that have been discussed that should be considered over the longer term. These are NOT part for the Beta version.
Control strategy as design variable
- Optimization considering control strategy as a design variable. The control strategy here is defined as a different thrust/power curves for a single turbine. In addition, this further complicates the load surrogate model. It is argued that the framework is ready for this. However, it will increase the number of dimension significantly for the optimization problem and that will require different strategies to solve the problem. This is an active area of research.
- Also IPC could be considered in the future as a control strategy (and further complicates the optimization and the load surrogate).
From T1.1: Speed-up code, IO, models:

Profile existing code and find possibilities for speed-ups considering vectorization, the usage of the Numba module, or porting to Cython. [WE]
- Implementation: parallelization strategies for different wind speeds.
- Note that this task needs to be more clearly defined since it can mean many different things with very different scopes.

Speed-up IO by considering carefully in which format to read and write the data from. Select the appropriate data formats considering the size of the IO data. [WE]
