Question: wind-turbine dependent speedups in time series simulation
Hey PyWake Team,
First off, I really appreciate this amazing library. I'm not sure how best to contact the team here for requests so apologies if this isn't the right forum. I just started exploring using PyWake
and I'm trying to figure out how to adapt it for time series modeling of wind turbine power production.
The documentation is very clear on how to run time series energy capture by specifying a time-dependent flow field. And I've gotten this to work myself. https://topfarm.pages.windenergy.dtu.dk/PyWake/notebooks/RunWindFarmSimulation.html#Time-series
Also, the documentation is somewhat clear on how to specify turbine-specific speedups to a flow field: https://topfarm.pages.windenergy.dtu.dk/PyWake/notebooks/Site.html#XRSite
but my objective is to execute a wind farm simulation where the free-stream conditions at each turbine position (wind speed and potentially other variables like air density and TI) is time AND wtg position dependent: i.e. (time,i)
. I can't seem to figure out whether PyWake
supports that and if so, how to specify that in the xarray
ds
object, or as an input to the WindFarmModel
simulation.
Could someone help me out? Again, let me know if I should be using a different forum.
